My name is Livio and I am the founder of The Swiss Insider. I was born and raised in Switzerland, close to Lucerne and the mountains. After working as a local tour guide and helping travellers from all over the world, I started creating personalised Switzerland itineraries and travel plans so visitors can experience this country the way locals do.

Planning a trip to Switzerland can be confusing. There are thousands of blogs, train schedules, mountain tickets, weather changes and tourist traps. My goal is to make travel simple. I plan realistic day by day itineraries with correct train and cable car times, hotel suggestions, local food spots and hidden places that most tourists never find.

I am not a travel agency. I work independently and do not promote sponsored hotels or tourist attractions. Every recommendation is based on personal experience and honest local knowledge.
